What did you think about the idea of having a small low-resolution touch screen on the device? Is that asking too much? I had that idea for the Option Globesurfer 3+, which I got my hands on a few months before the BRCK came out. that device's web-based UI is so overly complicated its silly. I understand that if you have a phone then that might be an unneccessary addition. It might also result in a dramatic increase in price. Maybe even cause the device to be less suited for the harsh terrain in Kenya. A cracked screen in Kenya is probably a death sentence for a device such as this. I felt it was worth mentioning, though.
